Our new regularity rally-raid, RallyClassics Africa, continues to advance towards a first edition that will be specially exciting. We are 4 months away from the event, which will be held from 16th to 21st September in the Erfoud and Merzouga area (Morocco).

Admitted vehicles

  • Classics: 4×4 and Trucks manufactured up to the year 2000 (similar to the Dakar Classic)
  • Open (Regularity for modern vehicles): SSV, Proto and 4×4

Open vehicles will not qualify for the general classification of RallyClassics Africa.

A route with varied terrains has been worked on, perfect for 4×4 vehicles from all eras, including original classic vehicles.

RallyClassics Africa route

The route will include:

  • 5 stages (1 of them spending the night in the desert haimas).
  • 900 km approx. of itinerary.
  • 700 km approx. of regularity.
  • 6-hour daily stages.
  • 2 dune navigation zones.
  • Average maximum 60 km/h.

The route has already been designed and work is currently underway on the event’s roadbook, which will offer the usual RallyClassics quality, with FIA symbology and an itinerary designed so that the teams can prepare and set up for events such as Dakar Classic, Africa Eco Race or similar.

In terms of security, the route will be controlled with the same technology of international raids, GPS and a live tracking system.
