The British driver already raced in 2015 at the wheel of his Talbot Sunbeam in the McRae 20th Anniversary Rally Challenge

The British Gary Gee will be part of the 65 Rally Moritz Costa Brava, which will be held from the 24th to the 25th of March 2017 in Girona. Gee has enrolled his Talbot Sunbeam Lotus Gr. 2 of 1981 in the Speed category, where he will be co-piloted by the Spanish Antonio Boto.

This Talbot was precisely made for Gary Gee by his former teammates, Jim Little and Philip Davison, whom he met in the 1980’s at the Talbot’s World Championship. Its production was designed in detail to achieve the same technical specifications with which the model exited the factory, to the point that the license number only contains a different number than the original model. This Talbot Sunbeam Lotus Gr. 2 has a 2.2-liter and 248 hp engine, with a Getrag 5-speed gearbox and Bilstein dampers.

On the other hand, Gee will have a co-driver with extensive experience in the rallies sector, having competed alongside drivers such as Carlos Sainz, with whom he participated in three World Championship events and three seasons in the Spanish Championship, winning the title in 1987. Throughout his career, he has participated in more than 90 tests, including the Rallye Rías Altas Histórico, the Finnish Lahti Historic Rally and the prestigious Sanremo Rally Storico. Currently, Antonio Boto participates in the Spanish Championship of Historical Rally, after having worked as a sport director for Opel Spain.
